Overall B-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Dolphins bet the future on Leavitt. The board says B-.

The Dolphins spent the pick that matters most on Sam Leavitt, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Every board in the league had Siereveld lower, and that gap is the story. That Hughes pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Sam Leavitt
In the 15th pick they get a passer to set the clock by, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick47 Rnd2 Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Ar'maj Reed-Adams in the Round 2 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick79 Rnd3 Makhi Hughes
Steal is underselling it; Makhi Hughes at pick No. 79 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick84 Rnd3 Charles Jagusah
Value said wait; Charles Jagusah in No. 84 says they were not listening. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick115 Rnd4 Parker Brailsford
Parker Brailsford slid further than he should have, and Round 4, Pick 13 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick154 Rnd5 Cayden Lee
A quiet steal in slot 154: Cayden Lee for less than the market said. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick193 Rnd6 Conner Weigman
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Conner Weigman in pick 193. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick228 Rnd7 Austin Siereveld
A real head-scratcher, Austin Siereveld in the 228th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
