Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall D
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Steelers robbed the room for Sanders. Final grade: D.

Thirty-one other rooms let Raheim Sanders slide, and the Steelers were the ones holding the card at the 226th pick. Highway robbery.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Gray has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Emeka Egbuka
In pick 20 they get a go-to option on the outside, reach and all. A real need, handled.
Pick52 Rnd2 Alfred Collins
They went early on Alfred Collins in the Round 2 slot, and the value did not follow. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick57 Rnd2 Denzel Burke
They paid sticker price for Denzel Burke in No. 57, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick89 Rnd3 Elic Ayomanor
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Elic Ayomanor. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick126 Rnd4 Domani Jackson
No drama and no debate, Domani Jackson went about where he belonged in pick No. 126. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick155 Rnd5 Joshua Gray
They jumped the gun on Joshua Gray, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick226 Rnd7 Raheim Sanders
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Raheim Sanders in the 226th overall pick, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick242 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Steal is underselling it; Jack Kiser at slot 242 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
