The Steelers let Thomas Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Brian Thomas Jr., the No. 28 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 2, Pick 26.

It is not that Goncalves is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
