The Steelers went off the board in a big way for Kedon Slovis, 73 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will answer for taking offensive lineman early while running back and tight end went begging. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Flournoy. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

In short, a weekend the front office will want to forget in a hurry.
