No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Steelers.

The war room fell hard for Donovan Smith, and it showed at the 163rd overall pick: 84 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

However the rest shakes out, Reed at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
