Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA FutureB
The Steelers turned the phones into found money: B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Steelers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Travis has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

On value alone, Amegadjie makes the weekend a net positive.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Terrion Arnold
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick51 Rnd2 Ruke Orhorhoro
No drama and no debate, Ruke Orhorhoro went about where he belonged in the 51st overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick84 Rnd3 Kiran Amegadjie
Kiran Amegadjie at pick No. 84 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick120 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
Jalen McMillan in pick 120 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick121 Rnd4 James Williams
A straight-up fair deal on James Williams at Round 4, Pick 21, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick131 Rnd4 Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis in the 131st pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick197 Rnd6 Drake Nugent
They paid sticker price for Drake Nugent in slot 197, and that is fine. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick226 Rnd7 Garret Greenfield
Fair-plus on Garret Greenfield, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick238 Rnd7 Trey Knox
No edge and no loss on Trey Knox in the 238th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
