There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Steelers started one anyway for Ty'Ron Hopper, 34 picks ahead of schedule. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

With edge rusher, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them. Landing Polk that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
