Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Steelers: B-.

Nobody had Eyabi Okie-Anoma this high, and it is not close. The Steelers reached 70 spots to get him at pick No. 195. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Coleman to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The Beebe pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback, running back and other spots.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Tyler Guyton
In No. 22 they get a building block for the line. Need was not the driver here.
Pick51 Rnd2 Keon Coleman
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Keon Coleman in the 51st pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick82 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went offensive lineman with Cooper Beebe while clear needs at quarterback, running back and other spots sat open.
Pick84 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
A straight-up fair deal on Khyree Jackson at Round 3, Pick 20, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick119 Rnd4 James Williams
No drama and no debate, James Williams went about where he belonged in pick 119. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick161 Rnd5 Marist Liufau
They read the board right and Marist Liufau was the payoff at pick No. 161. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick195 Rnd6 Eyabi Okie-Anoma
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Eyabi Okie-Anoma well ahead of where he belonged. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick240 Rnd7 Zion Logue
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zion Logue this early at the 240th overall pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
