The steal of the weekend belongs to the Steelers and Williams: B-.

Somebody in No. 109 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Steelers sat still while Savion Williams, the No. 90 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Ewers to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In slot 30 they get a load in the middle, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick83 Rnd3 Quinn Ewers
A premium they did not need to pay, Quinn Ewers a notch or two before his time. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick109 Rnd4 Savion Williams
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick 109 is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick123 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
Emery Jones Jr. in the 123rd overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick156 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten at the Round 5 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick185 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
A clean, defensible pick in No. 185 with a little surplus value in Jack Kiser. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick229 Rnd7 Bilhal Kone
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Bilhal Kone. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
