Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
A

FutureA+
The Ravens let Washington fall into their laps, and walked away with a A. Somebody in pick No. 249 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Ravens sat still while A'Mauri Washington, the No. 37 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A to show for it.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. The veteran additions, Benjamin St-Juste chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
Pick Analysis
Pick45
Rnd2
Carter Smith
Carter Smith at the Round 2 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick52
Rnd2
Duce Robinson
Duce Robinson in Round 2, Pick 20 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick87
Rnd3
Justin Scott
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at No. 87 is the definition of value, full stop. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick121
Rnd4
Dante Moore
The board fumbled Dante Moore all the way to slot 121, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick152
Rnd5
Cayden Green
Steal is underselling it; Cayden Green at the 152nd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick160
Rnd5
Brice Pollock
They robbed the room for Brice Pollock here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick173
Rnd5
Iapani Laloulu
They barely believed it either: Iapani Laloulu still on the board at pick No. 173. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick176
Rnd5
Teitum Tuioti
Teitum Tuioti at pick 176 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick177
Rnd5
Trevor Goosby
Trevor Goosby at No. 177 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick249
Rnd7
A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington in pick 249 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick252
Rnd7
Rasheem Biles
Taking Rasheem Biles in the 252nd pick is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick253
Rnd7
Wyatt Young
Wyatt Young in slot 253 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
