Noel should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B+.

Call it larceny. Jaylin Noel sat on the board until slot 147, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Jones has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
