The Panthers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Trey Amos fell into slot 229.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.

Reaching for Fitzgerald left real value on the table behind him. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Jahdae Barron and all.
