The real work happened on the phones. The Patriots fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Getting Henderson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. If Borregales pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
