The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Chris Paul Jr., the No. 113 name on the board, sitting there at the 233rd overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep.

Kight has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
