Draft Grade — Saints
Overall

FutureC
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Saints and Pritchett: C+. The Saints did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Nehemiah Pritchett fell into slot 168.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The All pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.
Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
They did well to land Rome Odunze in No. 14, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick45
Rnd2
Jordan Morgan
Jordan Morgan slipping to pick No. 45 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick73
Rnd3
Marshawn Kneeland
They took Marshawn Kneeland at par in the 73rd pick, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick168
Rnd5
Nehemiah Pritchett
You do not let a cornerback like Nehemiah Pritchett reach the 168th overall pick and blink. They did not. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick170
Rnd5
Malik Mustapha
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Malik Mustapha. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick175
Rnd5
Tykee Smith
Value with a capital V on Tykee Smith in Round 5, Pick 39, a genuine coup. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick190
Rnd6
Erick All
They liked Erick All enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 190. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick199
Rnd6
Ryan Flournoy
A straight-up fair deal on Ryan Flournoy at slot 199, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick239
Rnd7
Edefuan Ulofoshio
Edefuan Ulofoshio in slot 239 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
