Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Nix in the fold, and a B+ for the Seahawks.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Seahawks spent their marquee pick on Bo Nix, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They banked enough surplus on Bishop to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Bo Nix
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick57 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 57 with a little surplus value in Jackson Powers-Johnson. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick64 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
Chris Braswell in slot 64 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick78 Rnd3 Jalen McMillan
No drama and no debate, Jalen McMillan went about where he belonged in pick 78. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick81 Rnd3 Gabriel Murphy
Gabriel Murphy at Round 3, Pick 17 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick119 Rnd4 Tyrice Knight
Tyrice Knight at No. 119 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick151 Rnd5 Cole Bishop
They will replay Cole Bishop at the 151st pick for years; that is how good the value is. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick194 Rnd6 Ethan Driskell
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ethan Driskell. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick233 Rnd7 Ryan Watts
Ryan Watts at pick 233 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick250 Rnd7 Isaiah Neyor
The board had Isaiah Neyor higher than slot 250, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
