The Panthers let Fairchild fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Dylan Fairchild, the No. 56 name on the board, stolen at pick 107. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

Every board in the league had Helm lower, and that gap is the story. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In the end it comes back to Mason Graham, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
