You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Ravens did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

Reaching for Vidal left real value on the table behind him. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake. On value alone, Wiggins makes the weekend a net positive.
