The Commanders bet the future on Maye. The board says A-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

They will need Jones to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. The Kaden Elliss pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

In the end it comes back to Drake Maye, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
