Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Ravens checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Ravens did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to interior defensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most.

The McCormick pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Jordan Morgan
In No. 30 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
Chris Braswell at pick No. 62 is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick93 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
They took Khyree Jackson at par in the 93rd overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick113 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
A clean, defensible pick in the 113th pick with a little surplus value in Jalen McMillan. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick130 Rnd4 Malik Mustapha
Malik Mustapha in pick 130 is fair value, right on his grade. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick165 Rnd5 Mason McCormick
Value with a capital V on Mason McCormick in Round 5, Pick 29, a genuine coup. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick218 Rnd6 Tyrice Knight
A tidy little value on Tyrice Knight in slot 218, a step better than break-even. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick228 Rnd7 Dillon Johnson
Dillon Johnson in the Round 7 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick250 Rnd7 Trente Jones
Trente Jones at slot 250 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
