The Steelers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The Blake Watson pick is the one that will follow the Steelers into the fall. They took him 28 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Van Pran pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. The Jackson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
