The Saints won the night they stopped Watts from sliding. Grade: B.

Somebody in Round 5, Pick 22 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Saints sat still while Xavier Watts, the No. 46 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

The dealing was even money, start to finish.
