Rosengarten should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B. The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Roger Rosengarten, the No. 146 name on the board, sitting there at slot 168 like a gift left on the doorstep.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. With quarterback and interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
