Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
The Ravens did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. The Ravens did not so much draft Mason McCormick as overpay for him, 25 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
They banked enough surplus on Brownlee Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Tyler Guyton
In slot 30 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick62
Rnd2
Xavier Legette
Xavier Legette at pick 62 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick93
Rnd3
Leonard Taylor III
Leonard Taylor III in Round 3, Pick 30 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick131
Rnd4
Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
They will replay Jarvis Brownlee Jr. at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick134
Rnd4
Mason McCormick
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Mason McCormick well ahead of where he belonged. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick164
Rnd5
Dillon Johnson
A straight-up fair deal on Dillon Johnson at the 164th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Pick226
Rnd7
Tyrice Knight
Tyrice Knight at the 226th overall pick is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
