The Bears found their guy under center in Maye: C-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Call it a C- and check back in two years.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

John Franklin-Myers gives the group a proven body among the projects.

If Drake Maye and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
