The Cowboys answered their biggest question with Ward. Grade: B+. The Cowboys put a flag in the ground for Barryn Sorrell, 158 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.
The McCord value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
