A passer of the future in Williams, and a B+, for the Patriots.

Start where it matters. The Patriots took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Landing Simpson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
