The war room fell hard for Tyreak Sapp, and it showed at the 71st pick: 52 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reese at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
