The steal of the weekend belongs to the Seahawks and Skattebo: B-.

The Seahawks spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Cam Skattebo, the No. 99 name on the board, in No. 172. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They will need Wilson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In the 18th overall pick they get a security blanket over the middle at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick50 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins at Round 2, Pick 18 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick52 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at pick 52 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick82 Rnd3 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson in No. 82 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick92 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
A tidy bit of business in slot 92, where Donovan Jackson graded well above the range. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick137 Rnd4 Smael Mondon Jr.
They robbed the room for Smael Mondon Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick172 Rnd5 Cam Skattebo
A running back of that caliber at the Round 5 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick175 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
You do not let a running back like Bhayshul Tuten reach the 175th pick and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick223 Rnd7 Zeek Biggers
They paid a round early for Zeek Biggers in the Round 7 slot, more than the board wanted. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick234 Rnd7 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
Circle this one: KeAndre Lambert-Smith at the 234th pick is a fall that decides a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
