Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
The Jets robbed the room for Sellers. Final grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. LaNorris Sellers tumbling to the Jets in No. 232 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Rueben Bain Jr.
In pick No. 1 they get a bendy edge with upside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick33 Rnd2 Dante Moore
Dante Moore at pick 33 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick101 Rnd4 Jordyn Tyson
Jordyn Tyson at slot 101 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
Pick140 Rnd4 Carnell Tate
Carnell Tate in the 140th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick183 Rnd6 Jermod McCoy
The board fumbled Jermod McCoy all the way to No. 183, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick200 Rnd6 Spencer Fano
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Spencer Fano in the 200th pick, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick206 Rnd6 Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq in Round 6, Pick 26 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick232 Rnd7 LaNorris Sellers
They robbed the room for LaNorris Sellers here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick236 Rnd7 Sonny Styles
You do not let a linebacker like Sonny Styles reach the 236th pick and blink. They did not. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick256 Rnd7 Michael Taaffe
Somehow Michael Taaffe was still sitting there in slot 256, and they pounced on premier safety value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick257 Rnd7 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington in Round 7, Pick 40 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
