Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall

FutureC-
The Raiders answered their biggest question with Moore. Grade: D-. The phones were a trap the Raiders kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Put together, it is a D-.
They have staked the next five years on Dante Moore, which is the only story that really matters here. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Greathouse pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
In No. 2 they get a building block for the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick4
Rnd1
Dante Moore
In slot 4 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick19
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
Nice patience on Jordyn Tyson, who had no business lasting to the 19th pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick78
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
A straight-up fair deal on Eli Stowers at the 78th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick80
Rnd3
Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II at Round 3, Pick 16 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick100
Rnd3
Diego Pavia
They took Diego Pavia at par in the Round 3 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick135
Rnd4
Zachariah Branch
Value with a capital V on Zachariah Branch in pick 135, a genuine coup. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick139
Rnd4
Jaden Greathouse
Jaden Greathouse in pick No. 139 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
