Draft Grade — Rams
Overall C+
ValueB NeedB TradesD FutureB-
Larceny in Round 6, Pick 12 lands the Rams a C+, Liufau and all.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Rams, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.

They will answer for taking cornerback early while safety, quarterback and other spots went begging. The Liufau pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In pick 28 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value.
Pick52 Rnd2 Braden Fiske
They took Braden Fiske at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick60 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy at No. 60 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick83 Rnd3 Kris Abrams-Draine
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kris Abrams-Draine. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick99 Rnd3 Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen in slot 99 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick119 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
They bypassed pressing needs at safety, quarterback and other spots to take Elijah Jones, a cornerback that was not the priority.
Pick187 Rnd6 Marist Liufau
You do not let a linebacker like Marist Liufau reach the 187th overall pick and blink. They did not. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick195 Rnd6 Trente Jones
Trente Jones in the Round 6 slot is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
