Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Titans.

There is a lot to like until you notice interior defensive lineman is still a hole. The Titans never got to the one that mattered most. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

Landing Gabriel that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In No. 1 they get juice off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
A straight-up fair deal on Tyler Booker at Round 2, Pick 3, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick103 Rnd4 Zy Alexander
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 4 slot with a little surplus value in Zy Alexander. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick120 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton slid further than he should have, and pick No. 120 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick141 Rnd5 Dillon Gabriel
The board had Dillon Gabriel higher than the 141st pick, and the quarterback fell to them anyway. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick167 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
Value with a capital V on Bhayshul Tuten in slot 167, a genuine coup. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick178 Rnd6 Seth McLaughlin
Nice patience on Seth McLaughlin, who had no business lasting to the 178th overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick188 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Nothing to complain about; Dont'e Thornton Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
