The 49ers let Manning fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The 49ers watched Arch Manning slide 39 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They will answer for taking safety early while offensive lineman, running back and other spots went begging. Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
