Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. David Stone, the No. 19 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 130th pick. The bottom line is a respectable B.

Reaching for Chaplin left real value on the table behind him. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
