A costly weekend of dealing drags the Browns to a C.

Somebody took the Browns to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Smith where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Rodriguez has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
