A sensible, unshowy class lands the 49ers a B-.

The 49ers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Dani Dennis-Sutton at No. 58 regardless, 26 picks early. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. They banked enough surplus on Fields to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
