The Jordan Hall pick is the one that will follow the 49ers into the fall. They took him 82 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hill Jr.. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
