The tape said wait; the 49ers did not. Myles Hinton went at No. 228, a good 115 picks before the board was ready. No fireworks, but a solid B.

On value alone, Borregales makes the weekend a net positive. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
