You build a draft on nights like this. Garret Greenfield had no business being available in the 251st overall pick, and the 49ers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Lucas Patrick gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
