Stewart should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a D-.

The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: Josaiah Stewart, the No. 53 name on the board, sitting there at No. 255 like a gift left on the doorstep. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.
