The 49ers let Ransom fall into their laps, and walked away with a D.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Lathan Ransom got past him. The 49ers do not have to explain a thing at pick 189. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
