The 49ers lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

Every board in the league had Rogers lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The McCoy pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
