The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Washington: B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Tahj Washington, the No. 188 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 226. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If McCaffrey pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
