When a board-topper like Ty Benefield slides to pick 167, you do not overthink it, and the Lions did not. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. On the needs board they went 2 of 2, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
