The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Saints watched Dont'e Thornton Jr. slide 71 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The Akayleb Evans pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Bottom line, with Tetairoa McMillan leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
