The board owed the Colts one, and it paid up: Jared Verse, the No. 16 name on the board, sitting there at the 82nd overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
