The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Ryan Fitzgerald, pick No. 212, roughly 95 picks past where he belonged.

Reaching for Mertz left real value on the table behind him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Mukuba pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher still on the board.
