Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the 49ers and Corleone: B-.

Call it larceny. Dontay Corleone sat on the board until No. 91, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They will need Parker II to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Caleb Lomu
In pick No. 26 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick57 Rnd2 Brian Parker II
Brian Parker II in No. 57 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick91 Rnd3 Dontay Corleone
Dontay Corleone at the 91st pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick126 Rnd4 Parker Brailsford
A reach on Parker Brailsford in slot 126; the board had better options right there. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick134 Rnd4 Deion Burks
Circle this one: Deion Burks at the 134th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick139 Rnd4 Derrick Moore
Derrick Moore at Round 4, Pick 39 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick140 Rnd4 Domani Jackson
A cornerback of that caliber at pick 140 is the definition of value, full stop. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
