Draft Grade — Seahawks

Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Rosemy-Jacksaint: B. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Seahawks watched Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint slide 27 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In the Round 1 slot they get a bendy edge with upside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick81
Rnd3
Blake Corum
Blake Corum in Round 3, Pick 17 is fair value, right on his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick118
Rnd4
Blake Fisher
They took Blake Fisher at par in No. 118, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick147
Rnd5
Marcus Harris
Marcus Harris at the 147th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick152
Rnd5
Tommy Eichenberg
They did well to land Tommy Eichenberg in the 152nd pick, just ahead of his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick179
Rnd6
AJ Barner
A quiet steal in pick No. 179: AJ Barner for less than the market said. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick192
Rnd6
Cornelius Johnson
Cornelius Johnson at slot 192 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick207
Rnd6
Johnny Dixon
A slide stopped in pick 207, with Johnny Dixon worth more than the price. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick222
Rnd7
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint in No. 222 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick235
Rnd7
Evan Williams
Somehow Evan Williams was still sitting there in pick 235, and they pounced on premier safety value. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
